For you who don't get it... Let's learn Trigonometry with Tobennh!

Cot, or cotangent, is represented as "cosine/sine". Tan, or tangent, is represented as "sine/cosine".

Now. With this in mind, let's remember that a ratio with "1" in its numerator and a fraction in its denominator will equal the inverse of the fraction.
I.E. 1 over 1/2 would equal 2.

So, cot is represented with the fraction "cosine/sine" and tan is represented with the fraction "sine/cosine", and we have 1/cot + 1/tan...

Wala. The dumbest problem I've ever seen. =(

Ah yes, I remember those days in precalc with rewriting trigonometric expressions.
In all honesty, its pretty worthless. What it really teaches you is how to think outside of the box, which is what you will DIE without in Calc.

Ugh I had to do the same thing..
..Never knew what that was good for..

THIS IS WHAT I WAS LEARNING IN MATHS CLASS LAST WEEK!

Are you psychic~? :)

And truth be told, I didn't understand much of it. I understood how to DO it ... I just didn't understood how it WORKED.

Gah.
